Jim, I love this post. It resonates with the way Michael and I have lived our life together. I once thought life would be like stepping stones across a small river, with God showing me the next step as needed. Then I found it was more like stepping stones across a large misty lake, where I could see one stone ahead, but that might only be there to entice me (us) ahead, so I could see the real next step that lay adjacent to the one I thought was the direction we were headed. Lots of adventure and some costs along the way, but never boring...sometimes I did long for boring...
